On Thursday 8th and on Friday 9th May, Madrid will be hosting the IV workdays of diocesan committees for support of the Spanish Church. According to the agenda, the meeting is due to start on Thursday 8th May at 10.45am with a speech by mgr. Vicente Rebollo, the Bishop in charge of the secretariat for Church support within the Spanish Episcopal Conference, along with José María Albalad, director of such secretariat. On day one, the president of CEE, mgr. Luis Argüello, will hold a report about “Synodality, vocation and co-responsibility”. A workshop on the diocesan committees’ experiences on support of the Iberian Church is due to be held afterwards: it has been announced that Ascen Lardiés (head of communication at the diocese of Barbastro-Monzón), Juan Pedro Virella (diocesan financial director – Huelva) and Father José Luis Vidal (vicar general – Vitoria) will be there. In the afternoon, the attendees will gather in themed panels, grouped into four units: transparency portals, membership campaigns, financial report and report on the work of the parish, and the “Protemplos” fund-raising campaign by the archdiocese of Burgos. The morning of Friday 9th May, practical experiences about co-responsibility in parish contexts have been planned. Finally, the attendees will gather into workgroup sessions and will exchange experiences.
